A high-bright LED digital thermometer based around the popular Maxim/Dallas DS18B20 High-Precision Digital Temperature Sensor and a Microchip PIC Microcontroller. This new version offers readings in both Degree Celsius and Degree Fahrenheit with a push of a button, an accuracy of ±0.5 °C (factory pre-calibrated), as well as an on-board DC jack for easy power connection. An optional voltage regulator can also be added right on the board if you don’t have a 5V DC regulated adapter (both available from Cana Kit).

The DS18B20 temperature sensor offers an operating range of from – 55 °C to 125 °C and if desired can be wired off the board at a distance of up to 100 meters (~ 325 feet) using CAT5 or similar cable.
