This power supply has been specially designed for our Stereo FM Transmitter (CK222/UK222) or other similiar transmitters. It has almost-zero ripple at the output to prevent the "hum" caused by the 50/60Hz AC line oscillation. To overcome this, the circuit uses a pair of transistors which effectively multiplies the capacitance by the total gain of the two transistors. For better filtering, the circuit also includes RF chokes at the output to isolate the power supply from the transmitter circuit.
