Description: The mother of all programmers! A low cost alternative to PicStart+. It is MPLAB compatible and is fully recognized under MPLAB as a PicStart+ device. To operate it needs an external power supply of 12-15VAC or 16-18VDC. PIC-MCP includes a gold plated 40 pin ZIFF socket which accepts all types of DIP PIC microcontrollers. In addition it has an ICSP connector and can be used to program all PIC-PxxB prototype boards.
All units ordered after 6-16-05 ship with the new 18F252 IC and latest firmware.
Unit requires a 15VDC 2.1x5.5mm center positive external power supply. We do not currently carry an adapter of this size but you may try Jameco or Digikey.
