A very versatile function generator that is an indispensable piece of test equipment for any electronic technician or hobbyist. Its design is based on the XR2206 monolithic function generator Integrated Circuit capable of producing high quality sine, square (or pulse), and triangle waveforms. The function generator operates over four frequency ranges: 10 to 200 Hz, 100 Hz to 2 KHz, 1 to 20KHz, and 10 to 200KHz. In each range setting, the desired frequency is adjustable.The amplitude of the output is adjustable in the sine/triangle modes of operation, and fixed in the square mode of operation. The maximum amplitude in the sine/triangle mode is 4 to 6V peak-to-peak (depending on the supply voltage) and 8 to 12V (again depending on the supply voltage) in the square mode .
